Every Church must connect to Christ's global mission!
Mission to help the work of spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ is our passion, as Jesus commanded His disciples to go and preach the gospel starting from Jerusalem to the ends of the earth, so we as believers today will have to carry on the work of this great commission to light the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
The work of missions that Jesus commanded us to do, it's not just to reach out to our community, or our nation, but to be part of a bigger work of supporting missions globally.

The challenge is that we can all be part of global missions.
TANZANIA
Year two thousand and nineteen an invitation from Mbeya south of Tanzania, to speak in the Pastors and leaders conference at Bible Study and Evangelism Fellowship by their Leader Dr. Ernest Nguivila. I knew that it would be a task for me personally to take up the challenge to travel to a far place. But I take it as a call of God in my life, and God was so faithful in supplying all the needs that I had, from the airfares and the money to take care of the need of that travel.
I was glad to be able to contribute to the lives of Pastors and leaders in Mbeya. Some of the leaders come from other places outside of Mbeya and I can see in their faces the hunger of wanting to know more about the word of God.
During my time there I noticed that the ministry is actually a school for training Pastors and leaders, the school is beneficial for the Church in Tanzania in terms of training that is provided for Church leader who are unable to attend known Bible Colleges in their region. Fiji
In Fiji Pastor Mata would travel around places where he is invited to speak, and that is just a normal thing a pastor from outside of Fiji would do if he is invited to speak. In 2016 Pastor Mata visited an area in a particular village called Nasivikoso in the province of Ba the western side of Viti Levu, the church was newly established church. Really amazing to see people walked for miles to attend the worship service on Sundays, and they brought food already cooked for lunch to share with other people who comes to church. Last year they run the services using temporary shed, and the picture below shows they just starting to build a new building for their church.
Mission Rwanda
|
Some years ago Pastor Mata had a chance to visit Rwanda in Africa, it was great opportunity to engage in something little bit bigger than what we normally do as a church in a small town in the Waikato region in New Zealand.
Rwanda just started to build itself up after the terrible genocide that took place there in 1994 which took the lives of almost a million people. After the incident Pastors from nearby countries came to Rwanda to revive Christianity and build churches all over Rwanda. The growth of Christianity in Rwanda is just amazing, which creates a huge needs for more training for their leaders. Pastor Mata was able to be part of a group lead by Terry Bradly to do training for Pastors in Rwanda. |
